As Regent originates from and is based in North America, passengers from this part of the world are usually in the majority. To some extent, of course, the variance of nationalities onboard also depends on where the ship is sailing, with more American passengers when the ship sails in Asia, for example. In warm weather, the action moves to the lido deck (Deck 11), home to the pool, a grill, a bar and the La Veranda buffet restaurant. At night, three lounges and a cigar bar offer different vibes, from mellow to lively. Most passengers' first reaction when seeing Seven Seas Voyage at the dock is surprise that the ship is so big ("All that for just 700 passengers?!"). While Voyager has nine passenger decks, it's not as long from stem to stern as ships that carry more passengers, making it easy to get around without long treks down a corridor.
The Connoisseurs' Club is a perfect spot to grab a cigar and a nightcap while chatting with fellow passengers until the wee hours. But, I think my favorite place to grab a drink was the pool bar, where tropical tipples are served in the sunshine around the ship’s striking plunge pool. You’ll meet serial cruisers on Regent—most of its guests are loyal customers who come back for its exceptional service and you’ll find semi-retired or retired crowds.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is a luxury cruise line that offers all-inclusive sailings to some of the most desirable destinations in the world. The line is known for its exceptional service, spacious accommodations, and gourmet dining options. After reading some of the comments I felt obligated to write a review. My husband and I have sailed with Regent for the past 10 years clocking up 12 cruises between all their ships.
I explained if I was dissatisfied, the cruise line should call me. Now that sort of cruise is my idea of hell 😂😂 - I don't mind a couple of sea days but like to be off the ship exploring. We booked our first Regent cruise last month after becoming a little fed up with the Celebrity product. I looked at the general reviews and agree that many of them aren’t pretty. But the complaints don’t hold a candle to what is happening over on Celebrity so like most things, I took the reviews with a grain of salt.
While not strictly an adults-only cruise line, Regent cruises are best for adults traveling without small children. The Club Mariner children’s program (for ages 5-17) is available on select sailings, but with many adult-focused spaces and entertainment, this ship is better suited for travelers without little ones. Prime 7 is the ship’s steakhouse, redesigned with influences from New York City’s classic 20th-century steakhouses. Chartreuse celebrates classic French cooking and glamour with a dining room inspired by the Parisian metro’s art nouveau stations and Coco Chanel’s designs.
I find reading the blog type posts are much better to get a feel of a ship, especially recent ones. The one and done post usually are so different than my experience on the same ship. In the beginning of my "cruise career", I was diligent about posting a detailed review on Cruise Critic. But I've been so happy with my most recent Regent experiences, it's something I forget to do...outta sight outta mind. My experience has been that people with an ax to grind are more likely to post reviews in general. About the only people who post reviews online are people who are upset about something--in my line of work, usually because they want more narcotics than are appropriate.
As you'd expect from a luxury ship, food and drink are abundant, with four restaurants, as well as 24-hour room service. As our apples-to-apples comparison, we looked at taking a week-long cruise in the Caribbean in March, booking about a year in advance. Regent Seven Seas only had one option, the Seven Seas Splendor, sailing from San Juan, PR to Miami, FL. We were given a starting fare of $5,099 per person on an itinerary including St. Barts, Antigua, St. Thomas, Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.
